The Ohio State Buckeyes had a somewhat disappointing 2023 campaign based on their sky-high standards. They missed out on the College Football Playoff, instead accepting a spot in the Cotton Bowl against Missouri.

With several key players sitting out the game or in the transfer portal, the Buckeyes were defeated 14-3. 2024 will be an important season for the program, as they don’t look like they will be going anywhere.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are built for sustained success, as their 2025 recruiting class is loaded. On Tuesday, it got even stronger as another ESPN 300 player committed to Ryan Day.

Running back Bo Jackson from Cleveland committed has committed to Ohio State. A four-star prospect and No. 136 gave a verbal pledge to the program. Jackson selected them over Alabama and Georgia.

He is the ninth-ranked running back in the ESPN 300 and the No. 6 ranked prospect overall in Ohio for the 2025 class. Jackson is the eighth top-150 prospect to commit to the Ohio State Buckeyes for 2025, as they have the No. 1 ranked class currently.

Listed at 6’1” and weighing 210 pounds, Jackson is the latest of a star-studded class the Buckeyes have put together. He hails from Villa Angel-St. Joseph High School, joining Na’eem Offord, Devin Sanchez, London Merritt, Zahir Mathis, Tavien St. Clair, Tarvos Alford and Nate Roberts as the top 150 prospects slated to join in 2025.

A multi-sport athlete, Jackson also starred on the baseball diamond like his namesake, former MLB and NFL star Bo Jackson. In addition to baseball, he was a track and field star.

Day originally made an offer to him in June 2022. Following a trip to campus this past weekend, he gave his verbal commitment. The Ohio State Buckeyes are getting quite an explosive athlete to add to their offense for the future.
