Even though his first NFL season was cut short, New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo has made sure fans haven’t forgotten about him.

The 23-year-old rookie was turning heads before disaster struck. In his first eight games, Skattebo racked up 410 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 101 carries while adding 24 catches for 207 yards and two receiving scores.

When starter Tyrone Tracy Jr. got hurt, Skattebo seized the opportunity, starting five contests and averaging a solid 74 yards per game on the ground in his first four starts.

Tragically, that momentum came to a halt on October 26 during a 38-20 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles. Skattebo suffered a serious ankle injury that required surgery and officially ended his promising debut campaign.

Since going under the knife, the young running back has kept himself busy, and highly visible. He’s repeatedly hopped on Instagram to let followers know when he’s streaming video games on Twitch, and over the weekend he popped up ringside at UFC 322 inside Madison Square Garden. The very next night, he was back at MSG, this time for WWE’s “Monday Night Raw.”

That’s where things got interesting.

During the broadcast, Skattebo found himself in a brief confrontation with WWE Super28 Dominik Mysterio, turning a simple celebrity appearance into viral moment.

Never one to miss an opportunity, Skattebo quickly capitalized. He announced on Instagram an official collaboration with WWE, launching three limited-edition T-shirts featuring his likeness, his No. 44, and the iconic WWE logo, with a direct link for fans to purchase.

While the 2-9 Giants continue to struggle without their explosive rookie, Skattebo’s personality and hustle off the field have kept him squarely in the conversation.

New York returns to action this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET against the Detroit Lions, still searching for answers in the backfield and hoping their sidelined star makes a full recovery for 2026. In the meantime, Skattebo is proving he can move merchandise and make headlines just as easily as he moves the chains.
