The Miami Dolphins have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. Loaded with speedsters up and down the lineup, they continued adding to that group during the 2024 NFL Draft and haven’t stopped since.

On Friday, it was announced that they have added yet another weapon for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to work with. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Dolphins have agreed to a one-year deal with wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The two sides agreed to a deal worth up to $8.25 million. Beckham actually turned down more money offered by other teams but wanted to find the team that fit best for him. That turned out to be the Dolphins.

Beckham will slot in as the No. 3 receiver behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in the Dolphins’ offense. That is arguably the best wide receiver trio in the NFL, as Beckham showed last season with the Baltimore Ravens that he still has something left in the tank to offer.

In 14 games with the Ravens, Beckham caught 35 passes for 565 yards with three touchdowns. He remains a big play threat, averaging 16.1 yards per reception, which was a career-best for a single season.

Most importantly for Beckham, even more so than the stats he produced, was he remained relatively healthy. After missing the entire 2022 season while rehabbing a torn ACL suffered in the Super Bowl while playing with the Los Angeles Rams, it was nice to see him be able to stay on the field and produce for a team.

While Beckham’s days of being a go-to No. 1 receiver are likely behind him, he can be an elite complementary player. As the No. 3 option in the passing game, the Dolphins have someone they can now rely on as they received very limited production behind Hill and Waddle at wide receiver.
