The Los Angeles Rams look like the best team in the NFL on paper heading into 2026, especially after acquiring superstar defensive end Myles Garrett.

But are the Rams actually the clear-cut favorites to win the Super Bowl?

The oddsmakers seem to believe so, with DraftKings labeling them as +550 favorite to take home the Lombardi trophy next season. The next closest teams? The Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens at +1000.

That is a huge gap, and given the amount of talent on Los Angeles’ roster, you can understand it.

But Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon is not entirely sold on the Rams, noting that the last NFL team with odds inside +600 to win the championship was the 1994 San Francisco 49ers.

Gagnon also isn’t entirely sure that Los Angeles will hold up over the course of a full season.

“What happens if injuries hit? What if [Matthew] Stafford finally fades? What if the Browns saw a pending decline from a now-30-year-old Garrett and pulled the trigger on a sell-high trade?” Gagnon wrote. “It might not take much for the bottom to fall out on this Rams team. All of this is to say, don’t get carried away with this overwhelming favorite.”

Los Angeles won 11 games and made it to the NFC Championship Game last season, where it fell to the eventual Super Bowl-champion Seattle Seahawks.

And that brings us to another point Gagnon made: the Rams play in a brutal NFC West division that includes the Seahawks, 49ers and even the Arizona Cardinals, who are far from a terrible team.

The NFC as a whole is also a rugged conference with a host of playoff contenders and Super Bowl hopefuls, so Los Angeles could have some difficulty embarking on a sustained postseason run.

There is very little doubt that the Rams look fantastic. They have superb talent on both sides of the ball, a terrific head coach in Sean McVay and some experience on their side.

But is there a guarantee that Los Angeles is going to win it all next season? Absolutely not.
