As the Los Angeles Rams navigate a 2-2 start that has fallen short of preseason Super Bowl expectations, a targeted trade for Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy offers a practical way to strengthen an offense that has yet to find its rhythm.

Ethan Woodie of NFL Trade Rumors outlined the framework in a recent piece on contending teams: the Browns would receive a 2027 fifth-round pick and wideout Tutu Atwell, while the Rams would add Jeudy.

The Rams’ defensive unit has graded among the league’s best even while missing key pieces such as edge rusher Myles Garrett, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, and cornerback Jaylen Watson.

The offense has been the clear drag.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford has not performed at his usual level, and the receiving depth has been exposed by the absence of All-Pro Puka Nacua for two games with a groin injury plus multiple tight-end injuries that forced more three-wide sets.

Those circumstances have left Los Angeles without the personnel needed to sustain the efficient attack that carried high expectations into the year.

Jeudy arrives with a proven track record that fits the Rams’ needs. In 2024, he posted 1,229 receiving yards, the best season of his career and clear evidence he can produce when given consistent opportunities.

In Cleveland this season, he has been largely uninvolved, as the Browns have funneled their passing attack through rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion along with second-year tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

That reduced role does not erase the skill set that produced a 1,000-yard campaign just two seasons ago.

Woodie noted that the Rams would likely deploy Jeudy extensively in the slot. There he would face softer matchups created by the constant attention defenders must pay to Nacua and Davante Adams on every snap.

The arrangement gives Stafford a reliable third option who can work intermediate routes and create space for the established stars, without requiring the Rams to overhaul their scheme.

Because the Browns appear unlikely to command a premium draft pick for a player who is no longer central to their plans, the cost remains modest for a contender still intent on maximizing its current window.

A month remains until the November 10 trade deadline.

For a Rams team whose defense is already performing at a high level, addressing the thin wide-receiver group with a proven producer like Jeudy represents a measured step toward restoring the offensive balance that made Los Angeles a favorite entering the season.
