Over the last few years, Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark has reshaped women’s basketball in ways few could have predicted. Her meteoric rise to superstardom has fueled an explosive surge in the sport’s visibility and fanbase, transforming the WNBA into a cultural phenomenon.

The phenomenon began during her dominant college tenure at Iowa, but it exploded when the Fever selected her as the top overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Clark’s rookie season was nothing short of legendary, as she adapted effortlessly from collegiate scoring sensation to professional standout. This smooth shift not only accelerated the league’s expansion but also propelled the Fever to the forefront as the WNBA’s premier draw.

Clark’s influence extends far beyond her own highlights. Teammates reap the rewards of her elite vision on the court, turning precise assists into straightforward scoring chances.

Moreover, sharing the spotlight with the game’s brightest light has amplified their marketability, opening doors to lucrative endorsements and off-court ventures.

No one embodies this ripple effect quite like Lexie Hull, who has forged a deep connection with Clark in games and beyond.

Hull has emerged as a fan favorite in Indiana and a recognizable figure across the league. Selected sixth overall by the Fever in the 2022 draft, she has steadily elevated her game, posting career bests in 2025 with 27 minutes and 7.2 points per contest while delivering lockdown defense against elite perimeter scorers night after night.

Hull openly acknowledges Clark’s role in revitalizing the Fever’s fortunes—and her own professional journey. She shared these insights in a conversation with Glamour Magazine.

“There were times when I started that it was like, If I shoot, it needs to go in, because otherwise I might get benched or I might get cut. There’s real nerves there in the first couple years where I’m playing on a losing team, we’re not doing well, we are not making playoffs. Every little thing matters,” Hull said of her rookie year.

The dynamic shifted dramatically with Clark’s arrival.

Once the standout guard suited up for Indiana, Hull explained, “I know I’m going to get open shots. I don’t need to be worried about whether they go in or they don’t, because I’ve put in the work to set myself up for this and I’ll live with the outcome.”

Hull’s progress stems largely from her dedication and skill. Yet Clark’s presence has undeniably been a key catalyst in her ascent, and Hull’s candid reflections highlight the genuine camaraderie between the duo.
