The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t done anything to address their ailing backfield this offseason, and that could present a major problem for them heading into 2025.

Now, the Raiders could be preparing to select a running back in the NFL Draft next month, as this is a very deep class for halfbacks. But Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton feels Las Vegas may strike with a trade.

Moton is proposing that the Raiders send a sixth-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for Kenneth Walker III, who appears to be falling out of favor with the Seahawks.

“Raiders head coach Pete Carroll can call his former team and inquire about Kenneth Walker III,” Moton wrote. “Seattle may be willing to move on from the 24-year-old because of his declining production and recent injuries. He’s seen a drop-off in his rushing numbers since his 2022 rookie season.”

Walker was limited to 11 games this past season due to injury, and during his time on the field, he rushed for 573 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging just 3.7 yards per carry.

The 24-year-old was once one of the top up and coming running backs in the NFL, as he racked up 1,050 yards and nine scores on 4.6 yards per attempt during his rookie campaign.

However, as Moton noted, Walker’s production has declined since then, and with the emergence of Zach Charbonnet in Seattle, it makes Walker expendable.

It should also be noted that Walker is preparing to enter the final year of his contract, and barring a significant turnaround, it seems unlikely that the Seahawks will re-sign the Michigan State product.
