The New York Knicks 2023-24 season ended disappointingly, losing Game 7 at Madison Square Garden to the Indiana Pacers. New York ran out of steam in the Eastern Conference semifinals, as injuries to key players such as Jalen Brunson and Bojan Bogdanovic were too much to overcome.

Unlike his teammate, Jalen Brunson didn’t miss a playoff game. But, he was hampered by a foot injury that was suffered in Game 2 against the Pacers. He played through the issue, but his Game 7 was ended by a fractured left hand.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that the Knicks’ star point guard underwent surgery to repair his broken hand. According to Ian Begley of SNY.tv, the surgery was successful and Brunson will be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks.

Bojan Bogdanovic was also batting injuries entering the 2024 NBA Playoffs. He was dealing with a wrist injury, which he was playing through against the Philadelphia 76ers. However, his postseason came to an end in Game 4 when Nicolas Batum rolled up on his ankles.

The injury was bad enough that Bogdanovic had to undergo surgery for that. But, on Wednesday, it was for his ailing wrist that he was operated on. Like Brunson, he is set to miss 6-8 weeks.

Those are three of the seven surgeries that New York Knicks players have undergone since December. Mitchell Robinson was the first with the ankle injury that knocked him out of the lineup for 50 games.

Julius Randle suffered a shoulder injury on January 27th that ended his season. OG Anunoby had to go under the knife for an elbow injury just a few weeks after that. Robinson’s ankle was re-injured on a dirty non-basketball play from Joel Embiid. He attempted to play through but eventually succumbed to another stress reaction.
