The Indiana Pacers have already made one big splash on the trade market this season, acquiring Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors. While that move has paid off nicely so far, they could be looking to make additional trades before the upcoming NBA trade deadline.
According to a report from NBA insider Shams Charania, there is a name that is still being pursued by Indiana.
Andrew Wiggins is a name that the Pacers have been connected to before this season. At this point in time, it sounds like they are still interested in acquiring him if a deal can be reached with the Golden State Warriors.
The Mavericks and Pacers are two teams, I'm told, that are expressing interest in [Andrew] Wiggins."

Throughout the course of the 2023-24 NBA season, the Pacers have struggled on the defensive side of the ball. Wiggins is not viewed as an “elite” defender, but he is an above average defender. Acquiring him would certainly help the Pacers.
What would it take to acquire Wiggins from the Warriors? More than likely, the Pacers would have to give up a package centered around sharpshooter Buddy Hield. Another piece or two to watch would be forwards Obi Toppin and Jalen Smith.
Can the two sides come together on a deal? That remains to be seen. But, the Pacers have been linked to Wiggins multiple times this year which shows a major amount of interest on their end.
Expect to hear a ton of rumors surrounding both the Pacers and Warriors in the coming days. Andrew Wiggins may not end up getting moved, but Indiana is certainly a team to keep an eye on.
