Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has taken the WNBA and basketball world by storm. Her record-setting performances at Iowa led to her becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. But, her reach and influence go beyond the basketball court.

To this point in the WNBA, chartered flights were not the norm. New York Liberty owners Joe and Clara Wu Tsai were fined for fined in 2021 because they were paying for their team to charter flights, which broke the collective bargaining agreement because of competitive imbalance.

But, that is something that will be changing in 2024. WNBA commission Cathy Engelbert announced recently that a full-time charter service will be used for all 12 teams in the league. Caitlin Clark is a big reason why.

The level of popularity she possesses has brought a lot of attention to the WNBA. Along with that attention for the Indiana Fever star comes money, which has led to the meaningful change the athletes deserve.

Given the impact she has already had, Caitlin Clark was asked to comment on the major decision the league made. As always, she provided a response that will only garner her more positive attention and fans, paying homage to the WNBA players who came before her.

“I’m happy for the players that have been in this league a really long time and have really deserved this for years and years and years,” Clark said.

Caitlin Clark is an incredible basketball player, but she may be an even better human. It would be easy for a person in her position to have a huge ego, but she remains humble and thankful for the opportunity. This is only the beginning for her and the Indiana Fever, who are going to be a massive draw in the league for years to come.
