Former NCAA Football Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow expressed his displeasure with the officiating during Monday night’s national title clash between Michigan and Washington.

In the early stages of the fourth quarter, Washington had a golden opportunity to level the playing field against Michigan. However, their momentum came to an abrupt halt when a holding penalty nullified an explosive play executed by Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze.

Tebow didn’t mince words in his critique of the officiating, particularly singling out the holding call. He believed it was especially glaring, given that Michigan had seemingly escaped with a few questionable plays earlier in the game.

Taking to social media, Tebow vented his frustration, stating, “A really tough holding call after some of the ones they missed for Michigan.”

It wasn’t just Tebow who voiced concern over the referees’ decisions. Many viewers who tuned into the game shared similar sentiments, and the referees’ performance is likely to be a hot topic on sports talk shows come Tuesday morning.

However, when all is said and done, it’s worth noting that Michigan ultimately asserted their dominance. Jim Harbaugh’s team racked up an impressive 303 rushing yards while avoiding any costly errors. The Wolverines’ defense also played a pivotal role, consistently pressuring Penix and disrupting Washington’s offensive efforts.
