Rex Ryan holds a strong belief that Robert Kraft’s recent silence speaks volumes about the future of Bill Belichick with the New England Patriots.
The former coach, now an ESPN analyst, expressed his confidence on Monday’s episode of “Get Up,” suggesting that the Patriots are prepared to move in a new direction.
Ryan’s opinion is rooted in the notion that Kraft’s lack of public endorsement for Belichick’s continued tenure indicates a desire for change.
He noted, “My gut says that Kraft is ready to move on. I don’t think there’s any doubt about it. I’ll say that because he’s had 10 weeks to say, ‘This is my coach and this is the future. We’re going to keep going forward.’ It’s not gonna happen.”
Ryan is not the only ESPN personality sharing these sentiments. Colleagues Adam Schefter and Mike Reiss also believe that Belichick’s time in Foxborough is approaching its conclusion, suggesting that the Patriots are “trending” towards parting ways with the six-time Super Bowl champion.
As the speculations surrounding Bill Belichick’s future continue to circulate, reports indicate that Belichick and Kraft are expected to have a crucial meeting on Monday. While Jerod Mayo has long been associated with the head coaching position for the past few years, there are also numerous external candidates who should not be overlooked if the Patriots decide to part ways with their legendary head coach.
