Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has made it no secret that he wants Antonio Pierce to return as head coach, but he doesn’t seem completely opposed to the idea of Jim Harbaugh, either.

Harbaugh seems to be ready to make the jump into the NFL, and the Raiders have been rumored to be interested in the University of Michigan coach.

Adams was asked about the possibility of Harbaugh becoming Las Vegas’ coach this week and whether or not it would stop the club’s momentum.

“I don’t want to say that, because you never know what’ll happen and I’m not gonna say him coming would be a negative thing or the team won’t accept him or anything like that,” Adams said during an appearance on the Two G’s in a Pod podcast. “I don’t think it’ll be to that level. … We’ll see what happens but obviously, if whatever were to happen, I’m still sure the team would bring him in with open arms.”

Pierce took over as interim head coach of the Raiders after the club fired Josh McDaniels in late October. Las Vegas went 5-4 under Pierce, including a 63-21 drubbing of the Los Angeles Chargers and a win over the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Christmas. Plus, the Raiders had the league’s best scoring defense after Pierce took over.

Overall, Las Vegas went 8-9, but there is no question the team showed more resiliency and more fire under Pierce’s direction.

The general consensus is that the Raiders will end up retaining Pierce. As a matter of fact, defensive lineman Maxx Crosby has said he may explore a trade if Las Vegas goes in a different direction.

Still, the decision ultimately rests with owner Mark Davis, and if he wants to bring in Jim Harbaugh, Davante Adams and Co. will have to accept it.
