Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will be making his return to Arrowhead Stadium this Saturday, and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is expecting a warm reception for the superstar.

“I expect KC to give him nothing but love until he’s putting up the peace sign or something, then he might hear a few boos,” Kelce said, via John Moser of WSVN-TV 7. “But who he was for this community speaks volumes. Every single kids camp, he made it an effort to go out and shake those hands and give those kids an experience they will never have again. That’s why Tyreek is loved in this city and forever will be because of who he was off the field as well.”

The Chiefs traded Hill to the Dolphins in March 2022.

Hill spent the first six years of his career in Kansas City, helping lead the team to a Super Bowl championship and a pair of Super Bowl appearances. He made the Pro Bowl all six of his seasons with the club, also earning three First-Team All-Pro selections.

Now, Hill will be facing Kansas City as an opponent in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

The 29-year-old has been tremendous since arriving in South Beach. In his debut campaign with the club, he hauled in 119 receptions for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and First-Team All-Pro honors.

He posted very similar numbers this season, leading the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and receiving scores (13) while registering 119 catches. He earned yet another Pro Bowl selection and will almost surely be named a First-Team All-Pro yet again.

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs went 11-6 and won their eighth straight AFC West division title this year. Meanwhile, Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins also went 11-6, but settled for a Wild Card berth.
