“Foxboro is not a vacation spot. You’ve gotta spend some money to get good players, and you’ve gotta spend money to keep your good players in-house,” Brown remarked.

He further stressed the importance of treating players with respect and basic decency as human beings once they’re part of the team. Brown pointed to a specific issue that bothered him, highlighting the lack of advance scheduling notices within the Patriots organization.

“Other teams have schedules for the month, or some get the schedule for the year at the beginning of the season,” he noted. “There’s just no reason why we don’t know our schedules until a day before. That’s just disrespectful to people’s finances and time as far as those with families.”

Despite these grievances, Brown hasn’t entirely ruled out the possibility of returning to the Patriots. He expressed some openness to the idea, emphasizing the need for a resolution of these issues and a better understanding between the team and its players before considering a return.
