Tom Brady is gearing up for his much-anticipated NFL broadcasting debut on FOX in the upcoming fall season.

However, when it comes to expectations for Brady’s performance in the broadcasting booth, one longtime Boston radio host, Fred Toucher, appears to harbor some reservations.

In a recent episode of “Toucher & Hardy,” Toucher didn’t express much enthusiasm regarding Bill Belichick’s potential future as a broadcaster, and in the process, he took a swipe at Brady.

“No, I think he would be absolutely terrible, but someone would pay him. Being good at broadcasting has nothing to do with why they hire people for the broadcast; it really doesn’t. Tom Brady’s going to be atrocious at broadcasting, and he’s making more money than I’ll ever see in my entire. He’ll make more money in a year than I’ll see in my entire lifetime — including any money I make on investments.”

Toucher didn’t mince words, describing Tom Brady’s podcast with Jim Gray and Larry Fitzgerald as “awful” and even going so far as to label it “an abomination.”

It remains to be seen whether Toucher’s prediction about Brady’s broadcasting skills will prove accurate. Notably, Joe Buck, a legendary play-by-play commentator, has expressed his willingness to assist the seven-time Super Bowl champion in preparing for this new venture.

“It’s a new situation for [Tom], and I’m anxious to see how he does with all that. I know that he’s talked to Troy about it, he’s talked to intermediaries about maybe getting with me and having me help him, which I’m totally open to doing and would love to do.”

Only time will tell how Tom Brady’s broadcasting career unfolds.
