Alabama Crimson Tide legendary head coach, Nick Saban, has seen yet another player make the decision to enter the upcoming NFL Draft.

Chris Braswell, an outside linebacker and senior hailing from Maryland, recently took to Instagram to announce his intention to turn professional.

Braswell’s journey to the NFL has been marked by patience and hard work. As a former five-star recruit in the 2020 signing class, he patiently bided his time behind the talented Will Anderson Jr.

However, in the year 2023, Braswell came into his own and emerged as one of the premier edge rushers in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). His impressive stats for the season included 42 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, five quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, a pass breakup, a blocked field goal, and even an interception returned for a touchdown.

One of the standout moments of Braswell’s collegiate career was his contribution to the Crimson Tide’s victory over the two-time College Football Playoff National Champion, Georgia, in the SEC Championship Game.

In addition to this remarkable achievement, Braswell boasts three SEC Championship rings (earned in 2020-21 and 2023) and a CFP National Championship ring from 2020.

Braswell now joins the ranks of other Alabama players like Dallas Turner (linebacker) and JC Latham (offensive tackle) who have also chosen to declare for the NFL Draft. The anticipation among Alabama fans is palpable as they eagerly await Braswell’s performance at the NFL Combine and his eventual draft placement.

His journey from a promising recruit to a draft prospect is a testament to his dedication and hard work, and NFL enthusiasts can’t wait to see where his talent takes him in the professional football world.
