According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Washington Wizards don’t want to trade Kyle Kuzma.

Kuzma has drawn trade interest from several teams around the NBA, but the Wizards are not interested in making any deals.

“Washington has been very reticent with Kyle Kuzma,” Wojnarowski said on his podcast. “People are calling them. Teams tell me they call them and they’re not getting counters from Washington. If you want to register an offer for Kuzma, fine, you can do it. But they’re not at the point now where it seems like they’re really active in maybe seriously trying to move him.”

Kuzma, 28, is averaging 21.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.6 blocks this season while shooting 45.5% from the field, 34.3% from beyond the arc and 78.5% from the free-throw line. He’s making $25.6 million.

The Wizards signed Kuzma to a four-year, $90 million contract last offseason. Given Kuzma’s descending contract, there’s no immediate urgency for the Wizards to part with the swingman.

The Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings are two teams known to have interest in trading for Kuzma, sources told NBA Analysis Network.

The Wizards are 7-35 on the season. They have the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference. Kuzma leads the Wizards in points per game and total points.
