According to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Dallas Mavericks continue to be linked to Pascal Siakam, Andrew Wiggins, PJ Washington and Dorian Finney-Smith.

It appears the Mavericks could make a big trade before the February 8 NBA trade deadline.

“Dallas has been one of the teams engaged in acquiring Siakam, sources said,” Fischer wrote. “The Mavericks continue to be linked to various versatile forwards, from Andrew Wiggins to P.J. Washington to old friend Dorian Finney-Smith, according to league sources.”

Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks for the Toronto Raptors this season. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, so the Mavericks will likely be looking for assurances that the two-time All-Star will re-sign with them before making a trade with the Raptors.

Wiggins is averaging 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.4 blocks for the Golden State Warriors. The NBA champion is averaging a career-low in points, so many execs believe the Warriors will look to trade him and get off his contract. Wiggins signed a four-year, $109 million extension in 2022.

Washington is averaging 12.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks for the Charlotte Hornets. Charlotte is open to trading everyone in its roster except LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Mark Williams, per Fischer.

Finally, Finney-Smith — who began his career with the Mavericks — is averaging 9.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.6 blocks for the Brooklyn Nets. The Florida product remains close with Dallas superstar Luka Doncic. According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Nets want the equivalent of two first-round picks for Finney-Smith.
