Report: Pacers Acquire Pascal Siakam From Raptors

The Indiana Pacers are acquiring Pascal Siakam from the Toronto Raptors, according to multiple NBA reports.

The Pacers are trading Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora and three first-round picks to the Raptors for Siakam.

Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks this season while shooting 52.2% from the floor, 31.7% from 3 and 75.8% from the free-throw line. He becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The Pacers now have two of the best players in the NBA in Siakam and Tyrese Haliburton. Indiana is in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Pacers are optimistic they can re-sign Siakam.

“I’m told Indiana (23-17, sixth in East) feels optimistic about its chances to keep the two-time All-Star forward long-term,” Charania wrote.

Siakam, who won the 2018-19 Most Improved Player of the Year Award, has career averages of 17.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks.

Brown joined the Pacers last offseason as a free agent after winning the 2023 NBA championship with the Denver Nuggets. He’s averaging 12.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.2 blocks this season while shooting 47.5% from the field, 32.7% from beyond the arc and 81.7% from the free-throw line.

Brown was the Pacers’ highest-paid player this season, making $22 million. The guard has a team option on his deal for next season worth $23 million.
