According to NBA insider Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso is untouchable in trade talks.

Several teams are interested in trading for Caruso, but the Bulls have zero interest in parting ways with the NBA champion.

“The most sought-after commodity on the Bulls’ roster is still Alex Caruso,” Cowley wrote. “The Sun-Times has reported throughout the season that Caruso was deemed almost untouchable, and a source indicated that hasn’t changed.”

Caruso is averaging 9.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks this season while shooting 49.0% from the field, 41.5% from beyond the arc and 76.8% from the free-throw line. He’s making $9.5 million.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat are interested in trading for Caruso, sources told NBA Analysis Network. The Bulls, who are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings, have shut down all inquiries on Caruso.

Chicago is trying to trade Zach LaVine, who is open to getting traded. However, LaVine doesn’t have a trade market due to his large contract. The two-time All-Star signed a five-year, $215 million deal with the Bulls in July 2022. LaVine, 28, is making $40 million this season.
