According to NBA insider Matt Moore of Action Network, Pascal Siakam prefers to stay with the Toronto Raptors.
Siakam becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.
“League sources have told Action Network over the past two seasons that the consensus belief is that Siakam would prefer to remain with Toronto,” Moore wrote. “It’s not known if that’s because of his comfort with the city and franchise or the hopes of a max payday, as the Raptors can offer him a contract that is $60 million more guaranteed than any other team at $248 million.”
The Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons are interested in acquiring Siakam from the Raptors. Siakam doesn’t have a no-trade clause in his contract, but he can sort of control his future by telling teams interested in trading for him that he won’t re-sign with them after the season.

A two-time All-Star, Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks this season while shooting 52.5% from the field, 30.8% from beyond the arc and 75.4% from the free-throw line. The talented forward is making $37.9 million.
The Raptors already made one blockbuster trade this season, trading OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks for RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley. Toronto is 15-23. They are in 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Siakam has career averages of 17.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks. He won the 2018-19 Most Improved Player of the Year Award and helped the Raptors win their first championship in franchise history in 2019 over the Warriors.
