Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine will play against the Charlotte Hornets tonight after missing the last 17 games with a right foot injury.

LaVine will come off the bench.

The Bulls went 10-7 without LaVine, who is averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists on the season while shooting 44.3% from the field, 33.6% from beyond the arc and 86.6% from the free-throw line.

Chicago is 5-13 with LaVine in the lineup and the two-time All-Star has a plus-minus of -98.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls Updates

By all accounts, LaVine and the Bulls are still looking to part ways. However, the LaVine trade market is “barren” for Chicago, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Bulls signed LaVine to a massive five-year, $215 million contract in July 2022. LaVine is making $40 million this season. His enormous contract and subpar play this season have made multiple teams second-guess whether they should trade for the UCLA product.

The New York Knicks are not interested in trading for LaVine, according to Stefan Bondy of The New York Post. The same goes for the Philadelphia 76ers, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

The Los Angeles Lakers have some level of interest in acquiring LaVine, who has the same agent as LeBron James and Anthony Davis, sources told NBA Analysis Network. However, the Lakers will not trade Austin Reaves to acquire LaVine, those same sources said.

NBA NEWS & RUMORS: Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls Updates

LaVine has career averages of 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bulls. He is a two-time Slam Dunk Contest champion.
