One NBA writer is proposing that the Los Angeles Lakers acquire Dejounte Murray and Bogdan Bogdanovic from the Atlanta Hawks.
Ishaan Bhattacharya of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Lakers, Hawks and Miami Heat:
Atlanta Hawks Receive: Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Nikola Jovic, 2028 First-Round Pick (MIA), 2029 First-Round Pick (LAL), 2030 First-Round Pick (MIA)
Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Dejounte Murray, Bogdan Bogdanovic
Miami Heat Receive: Trae Young
The Lakers are interested in acquiring Murray from the Hawks. Murray, LeBron James and Anthony Davis have the same agent (Rich Paul of Klutch Sports).
Murray is averaging 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.3 blocks this season while shooting 46.0% from the field, 38.3% from beyond the arc and 82.5% from the free-throw line. The one-time All-Star is making $17.7 million.

Meanwhile, Bogdanovic is averaging 17.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.3 blocks while shooting 44.0% overall, 38.2% from 3 and 90.9% from the foul line. The swingman is making $18.7 million.
The Lakers could start Murray, Austin Reaves, Bogdanovic, LeBron and Davis if this trade proposal happened. Los Angeles is 17-18 on the season and only 3-9 since winning the In-Season Tournament in Las Vegas. The team is a walking disaster right now and most NBA execs believe general manager Rob Pelinka has to make a trade.
Murray, who has a close relationship with LeBron, has career averages of 14.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.3 blocks with the San Antonio Spurs and Hawks. He’s one of the top two-way players in the NBA.

Bogdanovic, meanwhile, has career averages of 14.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.2 blocks with the Sacramento Kings and Hawks. He’s one of the best 3-point shooters in the NBA.
