The New York Knicks are not interested in trading for Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine, according to NBA insider Stefan Bondy of The New York Post.

LaVine, who hasn’t played since November 28 due to a right foot injury, doesn’t have a trade market right now.

“But the market for LaVine, who missed his 17th straight game Wednesday with right foot inflammation, has been tepid,” Bondy wrote. “The Knicks, per sources, are among the teams not interested in a swap for the 28-year-old wing.”

A two-time All-Star, LaVine has appeared in 18 games this season for the Bulls. He’s averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 44.3% from the field, 33.6% from beyond the arc and 86.6% from the free-throw line.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Zach LaVine, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls Updates

LaVine is represented by Rich Paul of Klutch Sports Group. Paul is reluctant to do business with the Knicks, who are led by president Leon Rose and executive vice president William Wesley, according to NBA insider Ian Begley of SNY.

Sources told NBA Analysis Network that LaVine wants to get traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are represented by Paul as well. However, Paul denied that he’s trying to get LaVine to the Lakers.

“It’s not one team,” Paul told NBA reporter Sam Amick of The Athletic regarding the LaVine situation. “I don’t have a specific destination for Zach. I want what’s best for Zach and his family. When you have a guy playing the game, you want him to be able to play the game happy, whether that’s in Chicago or somewhere else.”

LaVine signed a five-year, $215 million contract with the Bulls in July 2022. The UCLA product has career averages of 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bulls.
