Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic was a guest on Michael Porter Jr.’s podcast and Porter Jr. asked Jokic to name his top five players in the NBA right now.
Jokic went with Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, Kevin Durant, LeBron James and Stephen Curry, while also mentioning Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Jokic is too humble, which is why he didn’t include himself. The five-time All-Star is universally recognized as the top player in the NBA right now since he won the 2023 Finals MVP and is a walking triple-double.

For the Nuggets this season, Jokic is averaging 26.3 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9.2 assists while shooting 54.9% from the field, 32.7% from beyond the arc and 81.7% from the free-throw line. The two-time MVP has 28 double-doubles and 11 triple-doubles.
Embiid, LeBron, Durant, Doncic, Curry and Antetokounmpo are putting up spectacular numbers as well. The talent in the NBA right now is at an all-time high and it has made games entertaining to watch on a nightly basis.
The real test for all these players comes in the playoffs. The greatest players in NBA history take their games to another level in the postseason. LeBron, Jokic, Durant, Curry and Antetokounmpo have already won titles, while Embiid and Doncic have yet to reach the promised land.
Several NBA scouts told NBA Analysis Network that they believe the Nuggets and Boston Celtics will meet in the 2024 Finals. Denver is 23-10 on the season, while Boston is 24-6.
