As the Heat prepare to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, Herro’s performance has been remarkable, averaging 27.7 points per game with a 55.4 percent shooting efficiency, including a 50 percent success rate from 3-point range in his first three games back.

Despite the absence of star player Jimmy Butler, who is questionable for Monday’s game due to a strained left calf, the Heat have maintained their momentum, winning their past two games. Miami, known for its proficient 3-point shooting, leads the league at 39.6 percent, with Herro and Duncan Robinson as key contributors. In their recent victory over the Atlanta Hawks, Herro scored 30 points, and Robinson added 27, highlighting the team’s deep shooting threat.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra praised the duo, noting the defensive challenges they pose to opponents. Herro has played only 11 games this season but is recording career-highs in points, assists, and steals, a testament to his dedication and hard work behind the scenes, as Spoelstra emphasized.

“You just see the benefits when both (Herro and Robinson) are on the court together,” Spoelstra said. “There’s a lot of things that can go wrong for a defense with those two guys.

“You’re going to overreact at some point because of their skill level, and they did a lot of good things down the stretch on both ends of the court.”

Conversely, the Philadelphia 76ers come into the game with a solid recent record, having won eight of their last nine games. Joel Embiid has already been ruled out for Monday’s game after spraining his ankle in a win against the Toronto Raptors. The Sixers must find a way to overcome not having their MVP, with Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris factoring in significantly. Philadelphia is 0-3 without Embiid this season, with Maxey averaging 24.5 points and 5.5 assists in two of those games.
