Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham issued a strong statement about his duo, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Ham said LeBron and Davis “know how to take it to that next level when everything is on the line.”

“I think the sky is the limit,” Ham said about LeBron and Davis. “A hell of a one-two punch, and that one or two could be either one of them on any given night. And at the end of the day, they know how to take it to that next level when everything is on the line.”

The Lakers won the NBA In-Season Tournament, with LeBron and Davis both making the All-Tournament Team. LeBron won MVP of the tournament, while Davis had 41 points, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in the championship game against the Indiana Pacers.

“I feel like when we are on the floor together and we’re healthy, we know what we’re capable of doing,” LeBron said after the Lakers beat the Pacers. “We’ve played too many games together, shared too many moments together, played in too many big moments together to fail each other. It’s been everything, like I said, especially at the later stage of my career.”

“We’ve been doing it together for a long time, five years now, and we just figure it out,” Davis said after the Lakers-Pacers game. “We know each other’s tendencies, what we like to do. Obviously, in crunch time, we get to our infamous pick-and-roll and it’s tough to stop. We feed off one another. Thursday, LeBron had it going. Tonight, it was me and he still did his thing.”

LeBron is averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists on the season for the Lakers. Meanwhile, Davis is averaging 22.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.7 blocks.
