Former LSU Tigers offensive lineman Garrett Dellinger was released by the Tennessee Titans on Friday, via the NFL transaction log.

Dellinger, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound guard out of Clarkston, Michigan, spent four seasons in Baton Rouge from 2021 to 2024. He played in 41 games with 30 starts, logging more than 2,000 offensive snaps and lining up at left guard, left tackle, and center.

As a junior in 2023 he started all 13 games at left guard on an LSU line that was a Joe Moore Award finalist and helped Jayden Daniels and the Tigers lead the nation in scoring and total offense.

He started seven games as a senior before an injury ended his year, then earned a Senior Bowl invite and a December 2024 degree in sport administration.

Baltimore drafted him in the seventh round (243rd overall) in 2025. The Ravens cut him at the end of camp.

Cleveland signed him to the practice squad, promoted him in Week 15, and he made his NFL debut against Chicago before being waived two days later. Tennessee claimed him that December.

He did not play for the Titans in 2025, then re-signed as an exclusive-rights free agent in March 2026 and made the initial 53-man roster out of camp. The Mafi claim ended that stay.

For LSU fans, the move is familiar more than shocking.

Dellinger was never a star in purple and gold, but he was a reliable, versatile piece who grew up on the same line as Will Campbell and helped protect one of the program’s most explosive offenses.

His NFL path has been typical for a late-round interior lineman: practice squads, short-notice promotions, and roster math that can change in a day.

He remains a free agent and can still land on a practice squad as teams settle Week 1 rosters.

At 24, with starting experience in the SEC and one NFL game already on his résumé, Dellinger’s Tigers story is not finished. It is just waiting on the next opportunity.
