Deion Sanders Fires Off Strong Accusation on Giants, Shedeur Rumors

The New York Giants own the No. 3 overall pick in the NFL Draft next month, which means they will have a shot at landing Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders.

Of course, that would require one of the Tennessee Titans or Cleveland Browns to pass on Sanders with the first two picks, which seems relatively unlikely given that both teams are in dire need of a quarterback.

Since the draft order was established, the general consensus all along has been that Deion preferred the Giants for his son, and a recent quote surfaced that confirmed as much.

“We are hoping for New York,” Sanders said, via Marshall Green of Chat Sports.

Or maybe Deion didn’t really say that at all?

The NFL legend has fired back at the chatter that he wants Shedeur to head to the Big Apple, taking to Instagram to make his feelings abundantly clear.

“THIS IS A LIE! We’re thankful for whatever God chooses for them,” Sanders wrote in a comment.

There is no video of Sanders saying that he wants Shedeur to go to the Giants, so maybe it really is a lie. Or maybe it was just embellished or misunderstood.

Whatever the case may be, it does seem hard to imagine Deion Sanders not preferring New York for his son, so he may very well hope that the Giants take him.

New York definitely needs a franchise quarterback, and while there are legitimate questions about Sanders, he will likely be the best option available for Big Blue to fill that role this offseason.

Sanders threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while completing 74 percent of his passes during his final year at Colorado.
