Vice President JD Vance celebrated the Cincinnati Bengals’ 35-13 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday with a pointed tribute to wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase.

Vance, a longtime Bengals supporter, posted on X after the game: “Huge win for Cincinnati. Proud of the entire team, but special shout out to Ja’Marr Chase, an amazing talent, who made my little six-year-old’s year by noticing his football gloves. It’s early, but I think the Bengals are going to make a run. Who Dey!”

The Bengals erased a 13-0 halftime deficit by scoring 35 unanswered points in the second half at M&T Bank Stadium. Cincinnati improved to 4-2, while Baltimore fell to 4-3.

Quarterback Joe Burrow completed 22 of 30 passes for 292 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. His scoring throws went to Mike Gesicki, Tee Higgins, Chase and Drew Sample. Samaje Perine added a one-yard rushing touchdown.

Chase caught five passes for 62 yards, including a two-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Teammate Tee Higgins led the receiving corps with six catches for 148 yards and a score.

The Ravens played without Lamar Jackson, who missed a third straight game with an ankle injury. Tyler Huntley started at quarterback and threw for 298 yards and one touchdown, but Baltimore managed only field goals after an early score.

Vance’s shoutout referenced a visit he and his son, Vivek, made to Bengals practice earlier in the week. During that stop, Chase noticed the boy’s gloves and remarked, “Nice gloves, man.”

Vance later said his six-year-old “was extremely excited that Ja’Marr Chase told him he had nice gloves. So, big day for little 6-year-old Vivek.”

Through six games, Chase has 32 receptions for 351 yards and five touchdowns. He has reached the end zone in four of his last five outings but has yet to post a 100-yard receiving game this season.

The second-half surge marked a rare turnaround. The Bengals became only the 10th team in NFL history to be shut out in the first half and then score 35 or more points in the second.

Burrow’s passer rating of 143.3 reflected near-perfect efficiency after the break. Cincinnati converted all five red-zone trips into touchdowns.

In the AFC North, the Steelers and Browns sit at 5-2, leaving the Bengals a game back. The Ravens dropped to last place in the division after the loss.

Baltimore’s defense, which held the ball for more than 22 minutes in the first half, allowed the Bengals to score on five consecutive possessions after intermission.

Attendance at M&T Bank Stadium was listed at 70,464. The teams combined for 716 total net yards, with the Ravens holding a slight edge in that category.

Cincinnati returns home next week against the Tennessee Titans, while Baltimore hosts the Buffalo Bills. Both teams enter the stretch run with questions about consistency in a competitive division.
