The Baltimore Ravens had one of their best regular seasons in franchise history in 2023. They hosted the AFC Championship Game for the first time, but it wasn’t enough to help get them over the hump against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs defeated them in the AFCCG before taking down the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. It was their second consecutive championship, as the Baltimore Ravens and the rest of the NFL will be looking to keep them from becoming the first three-peat Super Bowl champs.
An AFCCG rematch will go down in Week 1 as the 2024 season kickoff game. That will be an opportunity for the Ravens to exact some revenge. They will be motivated this season to improve on their performance last season, and their schedule provides them a chance to do that.
One of the things people have begun looking at when the NFL releases their schedule is rest edges. How many more days throughout the season do they have extra time to prepare and get their bodies right compared to their opponents?
In 2024, the Baltimore Ravens are going to have a massive edge in this department. As shared by Warren Sharp on X, they have the largest net rest edge in the league this season with +16 days.
The next closest are the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles tied with +12. Rounding out the top five is the Green Bay Packers at +8. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the 49ers with -21.

The Baltimore Ravens’ edge in rest days will be needed. They are playing the most difficult schedule and have six standalone or prime-time games this season. The Ravens will also be playing a game on five different days of the week.
They are scheduled to play the Houston Texans on a Wednesday on Christmas Day. Baltimore has two Thursday night football games, two Monday Night Football games and one Sunday Night Football contest. That is subject to change with the league’s flex scheduling as well.
