The Baltimore Ravens received the answer they wanted on Zay Flowers before Sunday’s Week 4 meeting with the Tennessee Titans.

The wide receiver, limited all week by a hamstring and listed as questionable, is expected to play, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The update arrived early on game day, a cleaner resolution than the one Baltimore faced a week earlier.

Against Dallas in Rio de Janeiro, the Ravens waited until late in the process before clearing Flowers, then managed his workload on a snap count. He still made the catch that mattered. A 27-yard reception late in the game put Tyler Loop in range for the 56-yard field goal that won it as time expired.

Through those two appearances, Flowers has 10 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown. His 23.4 yards per reception ranks second in the league.

The numbers fit the way Lamar Jackson has used him: vertical, in space, and trusted when the down and distance demand a play rather than a checkdown.

Jackson and Flowers have already built that kind of connection, and Baltimore has treated the partnership as one it intends to keep intact rather than risk.

That is why the hamstring still shapes the plan even if Flowers is active. Last week’s snap count was as much about avoiding a setback as it was about getting him on the field. The same approach is available against the Titans.

Tennessee is winless, and the Ravens would like to seize the game early enough that the starters can come out before the injury has a chance to flare.

A solid Titans defense has still been vulnerable to explosive plays, which is the part of the matchup that suits Flowers. His speed is the clearest way Baltimore can punish a secondary that has given up chunk gains.

None of that makes the outcome automatic. The season has already produced enough odd results that overlooking a 0-3 team would be careless.

When Flowers is out there, the simplest way to protect both the lead and the hamstring is to get him the ball and let the offense finish drives instead of lingering in a close game.

For a receiving corps that has had to absorb his absence once already, the report is the practical good news. Flowers is expected to suit up.

How many snaps he takes, and whether the Ravens can make those snaps decisive before the afternoon turns into another late scramble, is the part still left to the field.
