As the Tennessee Titans contemplate their future, there’s growing speculation that the team might not pursue re-signing star running back Derrick Henry in free agency.

Having earned accolades like the former Offensive Player of the Year and multiple Pro Bowl selections, Henry, now 30, faces the reality of being in the twilight of his career, having amassed over 2,000 career carries.

Transitioning from a prime free-agent prospect to a seasoned veteran, Henry could become an attractive option for several teams looking to bolster their running game heading into the 2024 season.

DraftKings’ odds indicate a strong possibility of Henry joining the Baltimore Ravens, with the Ravens listed at +175. Behind them are the Dallas Cowboys (+550), Philadelphia Eagles (+650), and Houston Texans (+750) in the top four contenders.

A potential move to Baltimore seems fitting for Henry. The Ravens, known for their ground-based offensive approach, boast a championship-caliber roster and the dynamic Lamar Jackson at quarterback.

Injuries have plagued the Ravens’ running back corps, making Henry an appealing choice to provide much-needed stability in the backfield.

Similarly, the Philadelphia Eagles present an enticing option for Henry. With a strong offensive line and a system that aligns with Henry’s skill set, the Eagles could offer him an ideal environment to thrive.

Despite reaching the age of 30, Henry hasn’t displayed significant signs of decline. In the 2023 season, he still managed to amass 1,167 rushing yards, leading the NFL with 280 carries.

2023 marked Henry’s fifth consecutive season surpassing the 1,000-yard mark and his sixth straight season with double-digit touchdowns, indicating that he remains a force to be reckoned with on the field.
