The Atlanta Braves have long built their reputation on blending star power with complementary pieces who can change a game on both sides of the ball.

That approach may soon point them toward one of the more intriguing names on the coming free-agent market: outfielder Randy Arozarena.

Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley, writing in an updated look at 2026 MLB free agents, rumors, and predictions, forecasts that Arozarena will sign with Atlanta.

Buckley’s case rests on a career-best season at the plate and on reporting that the veteran would rather leave Seattle for an East Coast destination.

Arozarena has already set a personal high with 109 runs, and his .279/.380/.479 line sits above anything he has posted over a full campaign. He has also kept alive a rare streak of at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in six straight seasons, giving him the mix of power and speed clubs still prize.

For Atlanta, the fit is easy to see. The Braves have spent years searching for consistent production from the right side of the outfield and for a corner defender who can both impact the lineup and hold his own in the field.

Arozarena — who Bleacher Report also projected to land a deal worth around $100 million — checks those boxes without forcing the club to remake its entire roster.

He would slide into an offense that already features high-end talent up the middle and give the lineup another threat who can score from first on a double and take the extra base when the defense hesitates.

The timing of the market adds another layer. Free agency is arriving amid uncertainty around the next collective bargaining agreement, which could make teams more cautious with the largest contracts.

Arozarena is not projected as a $500 million centerpiece in the same conversation as a pitcher like Tarik Skubal, but he is positioned to command a substantial payday after a year that has raised his floor and his ceiling at once.

Seattle appears unlikely to keep him, and Buckley notes that Arozarena’s preference for the East Coast narrows the field in a way that favors a club like Atlanta.

None of this is a signed deal. Predictions of this kind are snapshots of how the market looks before winter meetings, medicals, and competing offers reshape the picture. Still, the logic is coherent.

Atlanta needs what Arozarena has shown he can provide, and Arozarena has signaled he wants a landing spot that matches both geography and opportunity.

If the Braves move with the same urgency they have shown in past winters, Buckley’s forecast could become one of the first major headlines of the hot stove.
