Angel Reese is set to make a transition from Baton Rouge and LSU to the vibrant city of Chicago with the Chicago Sky.

Recently, Reese was picked by the Sky as the No. 7 draft pick in this year’s WNBA Draft, marking a significant milestone in her career.

In a heartfelt message shared by the official LSU women’s basketball team’s account earlier this week, Reese expressed her gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support during her tenure at LSU, where she notably earned the title of SEC Player of the Year.

“Thank you for these amazing two years here,” Reese said. “The amazing experiences, the amazing memories, the fan base is amazing, amazing culture, amazing food. Memories that I’ll never forget, especially the national championship. This is not a goodbye. This is a see you later.”

The letter continued on, talking more about her future in the WNBA with the Sky.

“I hope you guys are still fans of me in the WNBA. I’m now a part of the Chicago Sky. I know you guys are going to support me. I’m No. 5 now. I know you guys are going to buy all the jerseys and all the gear. I just want to let you guys know that I love y’all and I’ll see you guys soon. Go Tigers!”

During her time at LSU, Angel Reese showcased her exceptional skills, averaging an impressive 20.9 points and 14.4 rebounds per game. Her contributions were instrumental in propelling the Tigers to a national title victory in 2023.

As Reese embarks on her journey in the WNBA, there is anticipation surrounding her potential impact in the league, mirroring her dominance seen at the collegiate level.

Fans eagerly await Reese’s WNBA debut scheduled for May 15, when the Sky will take on the Wings, marking the beginning of her professional career in the league.
