“My understanding was Aaron Rodgers had planned to inform these Steelers of his decision at some point before the draft with plenty of time,” Rapoport said. “I would say likely end of this month.”
Rodgers has a track record of prolonging such decisions, including his well-known darkness retreat ahead of joining the New York Jets in a prior offseason. These episodes often come with his distinctive personality traits and outspoken views, which have become part of his public persona.
On the field, Rodgers delivered respectable production in 2025 with the Steelers. He completed 65.7 percent of his passes for 3,322 yards, 24 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
