HBO’s Hard Knocks has been a staple in the NFL’s summer schedule for years. Since 2001, they have given behind-the-scenes look at teams around the league during training camp. In recent years, they took it a step further with Hard Knocks: In Season.
In 2021, they took the show that has become popular in training camp and showed behind-the-scenes of a team during the regular season. The first team that took part was the Indianapolis Colts, followed by the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins.
In 2024, a change will be coming to the format of Hard Knocks: In Season. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, it will not follow one team. Instead, it will follow an entire division, with the AFC North being the first participant.
Starting on December 3rd, fans will get an in-depth look at the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. The series will air on Tuesdays and run through the end of the 2024 regular season and the playoffs in January 2025.
For the first time, “Hard Knocks: In Season” will feature a division: the AFC North. It will debut Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, stream on Max, and will air subsequent Tuesdays through the end of the NFL regular season and continue into the NFL playoffs in January 2025.

That is certainly an interesting wrinkle the people at HBO and the NFL have come up with. Instead of seeing one team, fans will now get to see four in what is considered the strongest division in the league.
There will be plenty of storylines to follow in the AFC North this season. The Steelers underwent major changes offensively with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields taking over at quarterback from Kenny Pickett, Mitchell Trubisky and Mason Rudolph.
The Bengals are looking to bounce back in 2024 after an injury-riddled 2023 led to them missing the playoffs. Can the Browns take another step forward in 2024 and have some better injury luck as well? Will the Ravens be able to get over the hump after running away with the division last season but falling short in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs?
We will all see it play out on HBO during the season. Hard Knocks: In Season isn’t the only major change. With football fans hungry for products all year long, they also introduced Hard Knocks: Offseason featuring the New York Giants which will be airing starting in July.
