Puka Nacua did not practice Friday because of a hip injury, Benjamin Royer of The Orange County Register reported.

The Los Angeles Rams receiver was not on Thursday’s injury report.

Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times reported that Nacua was not on the field during the portion of practice open to reporters.

Whether this is connected to the psoas injury that kept Nacua out of a stretch of training camp practices is not clear. He was never listed on an injury report for that one.

Sean McVay speaks to reporters after Saturday’s practice. That session is Nacua’s last chance to avoid a game designation before Monday.

Nacua caught five passes for 74 yards in last week’s 27-7 loss to San Francisco in Melbourne, Australia. He led the team in both.

Jordan Whittington also sat out Friday with a quadriceps injury. Safety Kamren Kinchens did individual work off to the side.

Kam Curl, Omar Speights and Nate Landman were limited.

Without Nacua and Whittington, the healthy receivers on the active roster are Davante Adams, Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, Xavier Smith and CJ Daniels.

The Rams are 3-4 in games Nacua has missed since he entered the league in 2023. He missed six games in 2024 and one in 2025.

Nacua finished sixth or better among receivers in fantasy points per game in each of his first three seasons and led all receivers last year. The Rams drafted him in the fifth round out of BYU.

The injury list keeps growing. Los Angeles placed Myles Garrett on injured reserve this week after he had arthroscopic knee surgery, and Garrett is out at least four games.

Aaron Donald is trending the other way. He practiced Friday and said he took part in team drills on back-to-back days.

Donald said he feels like himself and expects to play Monday, though he does not know what his snap count will be.

He has not played this season while working back from retirement and did not travel to Australia.

The Rams host the Giants at SoFi Stadium on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET.
