The NFL highlighted Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in an Instagram post Tuesday that featured images spanning from 2019 through the current offseason, prompting widespread fan reactions noting his remarkably consistent appearance over the years.

The post’s main image displayed Mahomes in an identical pose across the seven-year span. Observers pointed out only subtle differences, including variations in his headband, a reduced number of wristbands, a fuller goatee and slightly shorter hair.

Mahomes has been the face of the Chiefs franchise since the team selected him 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. He has spent his entire professional career in Kansas City, rising to become one of the league’s most accomplished quarterbacks. His resume includes three Super Bowl victories, three Super Bowl Most Valuable Player awards and two NFL MVP honors. Those accomplishments have solidified his status among the greatest players in league history.

Fans flooded the comments section on the social media platform, sharing their thoughts on the quarterback’s enduring look. Many expressed surprise at how little his appearance had evolved despite the passage of time and the physical demands of the sport.

“Why he look younger in 2019,” one fan wrote.

“Bro found the fountain of youth,” another said.

“Looks exactly the same! Love you Patrick!” a third fan commented.

“Please bring back the old hair it was majestic,” a fourth comment read.

The post arrived as Mahomes works his way back from a significant injury. He suffered a torn ACL in December, sidelining him for the latter part of the season.

Recent reports indicate the 29-year-old could be ready to return to the field as soon as the season opener in Week 1. His recovery has been a focal point for the organization heading into the new campaign.

Kansas City experienced an uncharacteristic setback last season, missing the playoffs for the first time during Mahomes’ tenure as the starting quarterback. The franchise now aims to rebound strongly and return to its winning ways.

To bolster the roster this offseason, the Chiefs re-signed tight end Travis Kelce, a longtime cornerstone of the offense. The move ensures continuity in a unit that has powered much of the team’s success.

Kansas City also added running back Kenneth Walker III, who earned Super Bowl MVP honors in the most recent championship game. His acquisition is expected to provide a dynamic element to the ground game.

In addition, the team brought in quarterback Justin Fields as insurance behind Mahomes and for overall depth at the position. The moves reflect a commitment to surrounding the star signal-caller with proven talent.

As training camp approaches, all eyes remain on Mahomes’ progress and the Chiefs’ ability to translate their refreshed lineup into another deep postseason run. The franchise’s sustained excellence under his leadership has set high expectations for the upcoming season.
