“I think there has been a lot of years where people would say what he’s done has been good enough. I think what the ultimate goal for him is he’s got to play really high-level football every single week,” Adams said. “He’s done that a lot throughout his career. We’ve got to make up for the other areas that have maybe failed him in the past.”
Adams emphasized that the focus should not revolve around Prescott attempting to single-handedly carry the team. Instead, the emphasis lies on maximizing his natural abilities while strengthening the supporting cast around him.
“I don’t think it’s about Dak trying to be Superman, I think it’s about Dak being the best version of himself, and us finding ways to make the rest of the offense and the rest of the team better.”
Another positive development for the Cowboys involves star wide receiver George Pickens, whose situation with the team now appears settled for the upcoming season. By signing the franchise tender worth $27.3 million, Pickens ensures continuity in the passing attack. This resolution should provide a major boost to Prescott, particularly with CeeDee Lamb already established as a top weapon on the perimeter.
The combination of Lamb and Pickens on the outside gives Prescott two dynamic targets who can stretch defenses and create explosive plays. Dallas coaches and players alike are optimistic that this duo will continue elevating the offense’s overall effectiveness in 2026.
