NFL Analyst Reveals Brutal Thoughts On Dallas Cowboys: ‘Laughing Stock’

Dallas Cowboys

Despite the enduring pride associated with donning the iconic blue star of the Dallas Cowboys, it’s increasingly apparent that the team’s relevance in football has waned.

Even though they are always touted as America’s Team and maintaining its status as a sports behemoth, the Cowboys’ on-field performance fails to match their branding.

The sentiment was echoed by sports analyst Craig Carton, who couldn’t stifle a chuckle upon hearing Ezekiel Elliott’s aspirations of securing a championship with the Cowboys.

On a recent episode of The Carton Show, Carton didn’t mince words, labeling the Cowboys as a source of amusement within the NFL.

He pointedly criticized owner Jerry Jones for the failure to secure key players like Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb with contract extensions, or even engaging in talks with rising star Micah Parsons about a new deal.

“The Cowboys have become such a laughing stock in the NFL.”

While just a season ago, the Dallas Cowboys projected the image of a Super Bowl contender, skepticism loomed large, especially beyond their fervent fan base. The team’s inevitable collapse seemed almost predetermined.

The inability of one of the league’s largest markets to sustain genuine competitiveness is concerning. Yet, the prospects for change remain dim as long as the decision-makers persist in their current approach.

Unfortunately, with ownership firmly in control, there’s little incentive for deviation from the status quo.

It will be interesting to see what kind of success the Dallas Cowboys are able to have in 2024.
